Description
The perfect trio from Real Madrid's Quinta del Buitre. In the late 80's, Real Madrid team was a mixture of experienced players and young talented madrileños. This team won five league titles in a row (85-90), two UEFA cups (85 and 86) but failed the European Champions Cup three times in the semi-finals (87, 88 and 89). Quinta del Buitre was named after Emilio Butragueño (el buitre), the most charismatic of it's five members. The only member that only played for Real Madrid, and ended up winning two champions league in 98 and 2000, was their captain Manuel Sanchis. One of the experienced players that blended perfectly in this team was the mexican Hugo Sanchez, as one of their top goal scorers.
