The golden boy, from the golden era of portuguese football. João Pinto was one of the two player to win the sub-20 world cup twice, the other was the portuguese goalkeeper Brassard. João Pinto was the small forward that allied his technique, to the speed, to a killer instint and, go figure, and incredible header.
He was the captain of the generation that won the second world title for youth portuguese football, with names like Figo, Rui Costa, Peixe (that won the best player of the tournament), Jorge Costa, Abel Xavier... and was the star of the team that won, two years before, alongside names like Fernando Couto, Paulo Sousa.
